About
Us The
Cruisers of South Florida was formed to bring together those who love custom and
specialty cars. We are an organization composed of a wide variety of different
types of cars and we welcome members who just want to have fun and belong to a
club run by its members. But in addition, it gives us the opportunity to give
back to our local community in the form of donations to Charities. Each month,
a charity is selected by the members and we collectively decide how, and to what
extent, we can help. A monetary fund is set aside within the club treasury for
the disbursement of money as voted by the members. Listed below is a list of the
Charities we have helped.... Donations

$100 donation to the "Cookie Lady"- bakes cookies for our troops Feb
-$100 Donation to the Sumter County Humane Society Mar - $100 contribution
to support Alan, Dawn and Kristin Rooks on their walk for the Juvenile Diabetes
Foundation held at Flamingo Gardens, in Davie, Florida. April - $100

to Junior Achievement to purchase brick for JA Worlds BizTown and Finance

shelter and a safe living environment for abused and neglected children of all

October - Organized a Blood Drive at Towers for the South Florida Blood
Banks November -Conducted a Canned Food Donation Drive for the homeless
in Broward Outreach Program December - We "Adopted" a needy
family and gave gifts of food certificates and toys for the children

maintains a record book which includes a list of the donations, literature about
the charities and organizations as well as receipts and thank-you letters. This
record book is always available for review at the monthly meetings. Members are
encouraged to suggest organizations they would like to see supported. Our
meetings are the first Tuesday of every month at 7 PM, Frog & Toad - 5782

Meetings are open to all and you do not have to be a member to attend. Come and
see what we are about and if you like what you see, dues are $25.00 per year for
